A single 9x7mm lab-created D Color VVS1 oval, cut to Excellent grade, held above a plain slender band. An oval carries its weight along its length rather than down into the stone, so it covers more finger and reads larger than a round of the same carat. Moissanite rates 9.25 out of 10 on the Mohs hardness scale, just below diamond at 10, so it resists scratches and stays brilliant through daily wear.
The oval measures 9x7mm, which is 2ct diamond equivalent weight. Worn on the hand it spans most of the width of the finger without overwhelming it, which is why 2ct is the most chosen size in oval engagement rings.
Six claws divide the hold between more points, so each one can be slimmer, and one sits at each end of the oval where the shape is narrowest and most exposed.
